Tyler lands lead in UPN Pilot

CONGRATULATIONS TYLER!!!
Tyler landed the male lead in UPN's pilot One For The Money. Tyler leaves tomorrow for Toronto to begin filming. Let's all keep our fingers crossed that it'll be picked up for the 2002 Fall Season!!
Tyler will play a cop in this show about a female bounty hunter. Here is the description of the book that the show is based on. I've added info on other actors in the pilot. Temp info page on One for the Money
As the story begins, Stephanie (Lynn Collins) photo has lost her job as a lingerie buyer for a Newark department store; when her car is repossessed, she has no alternative but to ask her cousin Vinnie, (Michael Rispoli - my guess this is his role - the bail bondsman,)
photo for a job. Ignoring his spate of working-class male chauvinism, Stephanie determines to hunt the noblest prey off the top of the FTA (Failed to Appear) list: Joe Morelli, (TYLER CHRISTOPHER) a suspended cop who is accused of murdering an unarmed man. She knows Morelli well, having played games with him in his father's garage as a child; her problem isn't finding him, it's getting the cuffs on this slippery, though charming, tough-guy. (MY NOTE: can you just see Tyler pouring on the charm!!!) After a scary run-in with his dragon of a mother, she decides to nab some smaller game first and work her way up to Morelli; with a big gun in her purse and a Cuban-born Rambo (Evan Dexter) for backup, she begins to learn her trade. In the course of stalking Morelli, Stephanie runs into a heavyweight boxer of psychopathic tendencies, who takes to stalking her in return; in comparison, Morelli begins to look like a nice guy who might have been falsely accused of the crime that got him on the skip-list in the first place.
I'm thrilled and excited for Tyler. Way to go!
Update: Here's a description of his character and the book by a poster on Soapzone. Sounds like a wonderful and PERFECT role for Tyler. Post
